One of the most common work-from-home positions is a customer service representative position. The company that I am reviewing today, not only provides the infrastructure, they provide the equipment, too. They also provide paid training. How awesome is that? The company being reviewed here is ACC Premiere.

What does ACC Premiere do?

ACC Premiere provides services to other companies, such as handling customer questions and complaints, emails, and social media. This is not one of those jobs where you have to handle multiple busines accounts. Employees are trained to work with a single company. This ensures that their customer service representatives are focused on the work for a given company in order to provide excellent customer service.

What do others think of ACC Premiere?

Upon doing research about ACC Premiere, I found that Glassdoor does not show a listing for the company (at the time of this posting). However, this is most likely because ACC Premiere was originally two different companies, American Customer Care and Premiere Response. In 2009, Premiere Response acquired American Customer Care. While the reviews for American Customer Care were not that good on Glassdoor, it appears that Premiere Response is better at managing the business. Many of the reviews for American Customer Care complained about poor interview processes and poor management; however, the reviews for Premiere Response indicate that the interview process was a 100% positive experience. The main complaint in reviews is the low pay, however. But pay is something that will be discussed a little later. Overall, being that Premiere Response is better at conducting business, their acquirement of American Customer Care could mean that the new company, ACC Premiere, is a great company to work for.

What type of jobs are available?

There are multiple remote work positions available at the time of this post; however, the position that I am focusing on is a customer service position available in the USA. There are other positions available that may require more experience or require that you live in a specific area of the USA. Jobs at ACC Premiere may require you to communicate with customers via phone, email, and/or social media. The available jobs are always changing, so keep checking their careers page for updates on the latest job availabilty.

How much does it pay?

The current customer service position that is available appears to pay anywhere from $11.50 to $12.00 per hour. Keep in mind that the rate of pay listed here is based on the information provided at the time of this post. For many, $12 is not enough. However, for others, $12 is a life-saver. So, now that you know up front how much this position pays, you can make an informed decision. If you don’t mind the pay, go ahead and apply before the positions are filled. These jobs fill up quickly.

What are the requirements?

ACC Premiere says they are seeking individuals with experience in retail, customer service and/or data entry. This job in particular only requires that you have a high school diploma or GED, have computer skills, have customer service skills, and be detail-oriented.

Of course, working from home means that you need to have a quiet workspace and a wired internet connection. Most companies that allow you to work from home require a wired internet connection for security purposes. The listing did not mention the need to have a phone, but many companies now provide access to their phone systems via the internet, so most likely that is the case with this position.

On the topic of a quiet workspace, it will be necessary to ensure that you can work in an environment without interruptions. The hours assigned to you for work are to be dedicated 100% to work, and not shared with daily tasks at home, taking care of children, taking care of pets, or taking care of another loved one. So, if you have people or pets that depend on you for help during work hours, you will need to find someone else to care for them during your work hours.

Like I mentioned previously, equipment is provided by ACC Premiere! This is a big plus! You don´t have to worry about whether your home computer is compatible, because they provide the equipment. But, because you need to use their equipment, that means that you need to make space in your workstation for the equipment they send you. They may also require a hard-wired internet connection. You generally cannot use WiFi to connect for work purposes. Since you are adding their equipment to your workstation, you may need to consider whether you have available ports on your router to connect the new equipment. If not, it would be necessary to upgrade to another router or add another router to give you more ports. Also, consider the number of electrical outlets that you need.

Conclusion
