Working Solutions provides work-at-home customer service jobs. Although customer service jobs are the most common work-from-home jobs, providing customer service tends to cause a lot more stress. However, if you are interested in working in customer service while working from home, continue reading.

What others think about Working Solutions?

According to Glassdoor, 83% of workers would recommend Working Solutions to a friend. And Working Solutions has received 4 stars out of a possible 5 stars. Also, according to Glassdoor’s rating of 2.1 Interview Experience rating and 80% positive feedback rating, interviews should be fairly easy. My experience with the interview process was quite different, however. I had applied for a position that I was 100% certain that I qualified for, and I felt very good about the interview, but I was still turned down. So, I guess I fall into the 13% of the negative reviews about the interview process.

Background Check

Unlike some other platforms, a background check is conducted once you qualify for a job. I think I like this better, because there is nothing like paying for a background check, and then find that you either don’t pass the certification or you decide you don’t like the work during the certification process.

Application Process

The application process involves creating a candidate profile, adding your experience and skills, taking an assessment, testing your equipment, and selecting a client program. This is the process listed in the FAQS on the Working Solutions website; however, there is a last step which usually involves a video interview. In my interview, the interviewer was not on video, but I was. This made me feel uncomfortable during the interview.

Requirements

The requirements are similar to other work-from-home customer service positions, which include a wired broadband connection to the internet without using a VPN. Also, you need a USB headset and an update-to-date PC with at least 8GB of RAM running Windows 10 or Windows 11. Some programs require a webcam. The USB headset requirement is very particular, so be sure to check with the current requirements for the USB headset. One of the most popular Logitech headsets is not compatible, so it is very important to ensure you have a compatible model.

Work Status

Like most of the work-from-home customer service jobs that allow you to set your own hours, your status will be an independent contractor. You will not be considered an employee of Working Solutions, and you will be responsible for handling your own income tax requirements.

Fees

According to Working Solutions, there are no fees involved to join their network of customer care PROs. However, upon deeper investigation, I have found people claiming that Working Solutions deducts $20 from the first payment you receive.

Pay

The average Working Solutions hourly pay ranges around $12.68 according to Indeed. The amount of pay is determined by the program that you select. So, if you work for Working Solutions you should read all of the information about the programs that you are considering.
